Hi all,
Well it's another rainy night in south central Alabama with the thunder rumbling in the not so far distance.I saw the lightning flash a few moments ago,so it will be here soon.Maybe it won't be too bad.I do love the rain.I went with my son this morning,or better yet,he took me to pay my telephone and light bill.He came in last night about 8 pm and just stayed the night with us.I don't get to see him all the time now and that's still strange.He is 29 but he's still my boy!
We have always been close with very few problems in between us though the years.HiS dad died when i was 5 months pregnant so he never saw his father.He is a good guy.We went by and looked at some wireless microphones this morning also.He is the singer and also plays guitar sometimes in a band here.He has been playing since he was 13.He can play dang near anything he wants too really.
His fiancee and little girl charlie Mae will be flying back from Arizona Feb 10Th,they have been visiting her family since November.We all miss them but they need that time together as well..

well i got some of my yard cleaning and pruning done!Happy happy.lol..If it were just not sooooooo wet everywhere.I live on a decline and rain water drains from the higher ground on us for days after rain.So got to where the water never dries!I won't ever get my pond hole drained enough to finish digging.Oh well...side effect of loving the rain,lol...
The kids are doing great right now they went to fun land tonight and Rita text ed me that they were on their way home now.They went to enterprise.I am glad they had a good time.
Well the lights just blinked so i better post before i loose it. ;0

The sun is shining and suppose to get to 70 degrees on us today!Praise God..I am soooooooo tired of cold and dampness.I am a summer time lady and just can not adapt to this.Yuk..well i guess i can but i do not like it.;)
hOW IS YOUR WEEK GOING?mine is looking better and i have lot's of plans this week i want to accomplish.I want to get the carpet cleaned,doing it myself with the bissell quick steamer plus!Clean carpet!yea...
I have most washing done but i do want to wash and dry my sheets and comforters.I want to dust entire house and rearrange the bedrooms.I have plans for painting the kids room and my bedroom but not this week i don't think,maybe next week.I bought some new hedge trimmers and clippers yesterday ,i am ready for yard cleaning.I have let it get so bad this winter with all the yuk weather.Time to fix it up and get ready for spring!

Still froze in south alabama and rambling!

Well it is another cold night here in south Central Alabama.This Saturday it will be warmer .With highs in the 60's and lows in the 50's BUT it is suppose to rain again!!!I am so sick of winter already!We have had ice froze in the back yard for over a week now,we are just 10 miles over the Florida line.The good news,This freezing weather is killing a lot of mosquito larvae and other pest!Also it should make a good spring growing season..Growing season..yes!!! ;) i am so ready for that..SPRING bring it on.. ;) and speaking of spring don't forget , rremember to enter my giveaway and win some spider lily bulbs for your spring garden!It will be here before you know it,,enjoy and good luck!

My daughter and granddaughter Charlize Mae will be returning home from Arizona Feb. 10Th!She sent me her plane itinerary yesterday.
How is your week going?Mine is dreary...cold,gloomy and our pump froze up!So now we are having to buy another one and work on that..More joy!
On the other hand ,the kids and grands are good.My mom is still fighting the pneumonia she has had for 3 weeks,but getting better.She says she is still weak and tired,short of breath and coughing.That is hard to get over...You guys keep her in prayers if you please would....

This would be so great to win!I will not say that i deserve to win this but my grand kids do.They have had a very rough time and they are troopers.First their mom was gone for over a year with illness and they stayed with us,Nana and paw paw.Through it all they ,especially my oldest grandson,kept the faith that mom would get better and come back.They cried and they prayed.They went through Christmas,birthdays Easter and more without mom(or dad).All billy ask for for his birthday was momma to come back.And after a year it happened ,their mom came back .It was slow at first re bonding,especially with the youngest who was then 3,billy was 5,but now they are doing great.We help out all we can but there is not finances for something like this right now.

Where is dad you may ask?Who knows..all we do know is he has an awful drug problem now and does not need to be a part of their life at all at this point.They don't say a lot about dad except for billy on fathers day and wondered why he couldn't have a dad that wanted to be here.
Mom is now taking care of them and doing good,well as good as she can,financially anyway .What they have been wanting is a bigger TV.The one they have is a 29 inch and every time they go to walmart they just stop and stare at these.I would love for my grand kids to be able to have this wonderful TV.
It wouldn't be used much for sports games,although they are BIG auburn fans, lol..But these little guys so deserve a nice TV to be able to watch their special shows on and billy and kolby both love their PlayStation they got last year.The TV in their room is 18 inch!

Well it is 12:01 eastern time in south alabama and it is 34 degrees here deep in the wood's!The pump messed up this morning and did not kick on.Why?Not sure but the good lord just fixed that so i pray that doesn't happen again!I have left the pipes running for 4 days now and got about 3 days to go.Coldest it has been here in 1o years!I can remember when i was growing up we would have icecycles hanging off the roof sometimes days on end.Bout that way again! lol...
We avoided the sleet and snow here and just got rain,but it was a COLD rain.We watched it closely last night watching the Alabama /Texas ballgamne.Neighbor came up and watched it with us.ROLL TIDE!
That was a good game.I enjoyed it.lolBut then i am in bama....
My other neighbor who got laid off ,and has no heat,it here today.Laid back on the couch watching netgeo!I so hate when bad things hap[pen to people and they don't know what to do and i will help anytime i can.but i really don't know what to do for him but share heat.That's something i can do anyway.
Jeff went back to work today(thank goodness!).He just about drives me nuts at times.But that is another post!

UPDATE:::::::ALABAMA 24-6 halftime!

Well 2 things going on,,lol,,listening to rain turn to sleet at 34 degrees and watching the ball game.2ND quarter and Alabama leading 7-6.Several good plays all ready and Texas is fast but i have to roll tide,,,
What are you doing tonight.Who is having a party?What did you fix?We went easy tonight ,dip,chicken tenders,tater tots and vegetable slices..enough to keep the guys happy!
Just saw 14 degrees forecast for Saturday morning in town that means here we will be in single digits..yuk!No let up till mid next week.Spring time hurry on.Let's hope for an early summer.I'll be watching for the budding of the Carolina jasmine,robins leaving,return of my mocking bird.I love following the old ways .They are more accurate than the weather man i am afraid.
When i see the jasmine bloom i break up the ground and plant.Another few days,after this cold spell and I'll be planting bulbs and spring seeds and tubers for this year.Not long till i get seeds started for garden plants.

waiting on more cold in south central alabama

Ok people we are in the deep freeze all over !I think God is tired of hearing about Global warming!He just may be showing us this is crazy...Don't get me wrong i agree that we should be careful of the tracks we leave on earth(the waste and mess) but i don't think we are having global warming because of it..We are just ruining our earthly home ..That in its self is enough but they use global warming to get one world order in place,that's all!
Google it is you don't believe me...just check it out...OK....
I already recycle all kinds of metals,don"t put plastics,paper,diapers etc in landfills,heat with wood,teach grand kids to recycle,and i would sooooooooo love to just use solar but IT IS SO EXPENSIVE!when something starts getting poplar it gets expensive.Instead of leaving the product affordable where people really CAN USE IT,greed steps in!Now you tell me if this was all about global warming and wasting ,the governments would fix a lot of it easily by making solar energy affordable TO THE NORMAL PERSON!But they don't.WHY? because if they fix it,they have no reasons to scare people with it..So that being said....
I am just about 9 miles over the AL-Florida line(in Alabama) and waiting on sleet and rain and blusterous temps behind it freezing everything up.Like it isn't already cold enough.Montgomery north they say is snowing,about 90 miles from me.My hubby wants snow,I WANT SPRING TIME BACK.. ;)
I know when it is this cold in our winters that it is killing mosquito larvae and things like that.Which is great.I also know we have a better growing season because of it,but it is rough.
My neighbor (age 28) lost his job,laid off, Monday morning.His truck tore up week before last and now he has no gas for heating and doesn't know what he is going to do.You must remember we live way out in the woods.So there is not people going to and fro from various paces to catch rides with to work and such and when you get in a bind,,well ..you are almost stuck!In his case with no savings and such.He has stayed here most of the week just because it is too cold to stay at his house.Even his dog has moved over here!He is in the yard now...I really feel for folks when they get in hard times.You don't ever know when that can be you and just how quickly it can happen..I know .I have been there,done that.I am thankful now that we have a fireplace.I know as long as nothing happens to it i can at least keep my family warm...It is hard for a lot of people right now and i feel for everyone.I truly do!

It is so cold!And gonna get colder,we are in the freezer even here in south central alabama and north florida.Yuk!My crazy hubby thinks it is great.But remember he is from michigan.But then i reminded him if it gets as cold as they think,the pump is not covered well enough,pipes need more,and we need more kerosene for the heater in the back of the house we use along with the fireplace on very cold times...Is he concerned????NO,,,,JUST SAYS IT'LL BE ALLRIGHT...aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh...I just am so tired of always having to be the sensible and responsible one..I don't want to be stupid,don't get me wrong..But how long do i babysit and watch over a grown man?>>>Hello!!!!!!
I'd like to enjoy winter too and not be worrying about this ""already should have been done'' stuff....Heck I've already done most all the other.Plastic on some windows,caulking on air holes,covered the pump,hell i even put duck tape around the inside of door in the back BECAUSE IT HAS NOT BEEN FINISHED YET!!!! ;0 Friends i could just scream.I feel like i am married to a 20 year old...I pray and pray and pray....He is s true test i am sure,and i am not passing yet...don't know how,,,
We are so very different.And don't say opposites attract.NO THEY DON'T.....Not like this anyway..jeez...I always have to be the strong one....

The grand kids went home this evening so now i am just chillin and enjoying kicking my feet up in front of my fireplace blog hopping and entering giveaways!How is your first week of 2010 going? Well and safe i truly hope.
The weather here is getting cold and it is suppose to decline in temps even more over the next few days.Now 28 may not feel bad to a lot of you in various places,but here in south Alabama...IT IS COLD..bitterly cold with the winds.Not suppose to get much over freezing for a high on Monday i think..brrrr..I do not like winter.I know we need it for growing purposes and killing insects and such...But i am not a cold person..That's why i have always lived here.lol..No blizzards for me.Wonder what AL gore and the others do when the cold temps are here?????anyway...............

Well Pop Tarts have done it this time!Made my grandson ask for them more than he already does!
I recieved a sample pack of the brand new WILD GRAPE flavored Pop Tarts.Kolby ,age 4, was with me when they arrived so he got to open them.His eyes lit up and a smile formed when he saw his favorite color dancing all around the tops of them,green! Lime green....
I have to say he really enjoyed them as well as i think half of it was because of the green topping.lol..
I did try a small bite before they were gone and they are tasty i agree.They taste like real grapes.So if your little one likes pop tarts and the flavor of grapes,these are for him and her!Look for them in your local grocery,,,Pop tarts wild grape flavor..

1st up is Spider lily,aka lycoris radicus..My mind always goes to spring flowers when the holidays are over and one of my favorite flowers is the spider lily!
These are easy to grow and have naturalized here in the south,and are native to Asia,Lycoris Radiata is sometimes hardy down to zone 5 or 6 (be sure to mulch in zone 6 and lower).Most times they will bloom the following year after transplanting. They have green foilage in winter.

Plant bulbs in ground about 21/2 inches deep and in a few months you will enjoy the beauty of the red spider lily.You do not have to dig up each year they will go dormant and return the following year.They will reproduce more baby bulbs that you can replant,just dig up and separate..
When it gets ready to bloom a single shoot will come up about a foot and will form the spider lily on top.

It blooms in partial shade as well as full sun!

Happy New Year's eve everyone!Hope your day is starting well.The little one's are asleep still and i have a few minutes to blog hop.What are your plan's tonight?Mine are family based..lol..Me and the kids and maybe the neighbors will be popping fireworks tonight,if rain allows.We live in the country so we can legally still do this. ;)I don't drink (alcohol) thank God,have not in 8 years now.Found it was more fun to find enjoying life on my own,not alcohol induced!Grand kids deserved more out of me than that....so...........I will have to get camera batteries charged up,i do enjoy taking pictures,capturing memories on print.Pictures are important to me.About 14 years ago now our home burnt down,lost EVERYTHING but the clothes we had on and our lives of course..thank God..The only thing i truly missed was my pictures and my son's musical equipment that he had gotten from his grandfather.These things were irreplaceable!I enjoy capturing the kids laughter,their smiles,milestones,all these are treasured moments.I have photographed,weddings,parties,shows,concerts,and more...None if these compare to the smiles of the kids...

I have to tell you about some wonderful brownies we got around Christmas!This are top on the list for my family .They are ..Fairy Tale Gourmet Brownies

hello EVERYONE,thanks for coming by.

I have a lot on mind right now,things i want to accomplish in the coming year.I am not one for new years resolutions,i don't really think i have ever thought on it before honestly.But this year is different.Maybe because i am getting older ,47 now,maybe just because i am unhappy at the affairs of our nation and it's leaders,just things i see around me happen in general.
I am saddened by the turning away from God ,Jesus and the Holy Spirit that people and our nation have done.We stand in awe at all the bad things happening and at how people have become so cruel.Well that's easy,you take good out and bad moves in! and move in it has.I am disappointed in what the president and congress have done,i am saddened that our president is leading people and nations for a one world government and America stands by thinking it is not going to happen.
I am hopeful when i see the smiles on the grand kids and other children and then a part of me cries for so many that does not have arms to hold them when they are afraid,or someone who cares when they hurt.I am saddened by so many parents/caregivers that are abusing and neglecting their babies.
I am hurt deeply by what drugs and alcohol are doing to our families as well as the user.I have always thought i was born in the wrong era..1880 looks better and better than with the exception of being with my family and seeing the prophecy of the bible coming to happen!Just amazes me so many people are blind to it.

I want to be a better mom,grandma,daughter,sister,aunt,cousin,friend ,but mostly i want to draw closer to God.When i do that i will become all the other i want to be.

Another sunday in the south~planning easter already

Hi and thanks for coming by!
Church was good today and we had a very nice and fun time in Sunday school but i have fought the most awful headache all day.To the point that i am fighting throwing up as well.This is awful.When Rita came and got the boys i didn't even get off the couch!I was so ,so sick .I fell asleep on the couch after that for a couple hours and Jeff woke me going to town.I ask him to get me some alka seltzer plus,goody powders and a coke.I pray that helps.
The headache is a little better now but still it is there and i am just weak all over.I am stuffy in my head also.I don't know it could be a severe sinus attack..i don't know.i just know it is awful.
Next week we will begin planning our Easter play at church i have high hopes for that.I think it will be a great experience for them and me.Easter is a great time.A time to reflect on what Jesus did for us and to remember he will return.He will return for you and me to save us from all this pain down here.What are you planning for Easter?Besides the church worship and play we have a family and friend Easter party here at the old place.It is always fun,we have dinner on the grounds under he large magnolia trees and then play games with kids and adults and then the big egg hunt for the kids...

Santa knocked the power off for 2 hours christmas morning!

Hello everyone!
Hope you had a wonderful and blessed Christmas! We had a really good time and we were blessed in more ways than one.i think my brother said it best when he said there was no reason for the adults to exchange presents we had been given the best present here this year we could have from God.Our whole family as here with the exception of my daughter in law Julie and granddaughter Charlie Mae,they are in Arizona this Christmas with her family.All us siblings and their kids and grands were there with our mom.That was the best we could have had.In this day and time that is a hard thing to come by that we have not been taken away from each other by death or any other thing.It is a blessing indeed and i thank you Lord!
We were at Rita's Christmas morning when kids awoke for presents and Santa flew too ow when he left and knocked out all the power for 4 city blocks in town for 2 hours!So we opened presents by the light coming out of the windows alone..lol..Yep Rudolph was not watching close enough when they flew into the sky from billy kolby and summers house...That story i bet they remember for years,,
The kids were blessed with plenty of gifts and smiles were abound!I do love the spirit of Christmas.We then traveled to my mom's house where we all met and had a bountiful feast of everything we could have wanted..God did bless it once again and the weather was pretty nice too.
I do miss my daughter Julie and baby charlie Mae but they return in Jan. and we shall have their Christmas then...Darrell misses them so and it was sad for him Christmas,i can just imagine....but it is wonderful that they can spend time with Julies dad,sister's and friends there.Merry Christmas Arizona!

ok people,now our pets are are putting off more carbon footprint than an SUV!The environmental footprint left by our pets is just way too high!WHEN ARE WE GOING TO STOP THIS NONSENSE AND LET OUR GOVERNMENT KNOW WE ARE NOT THIS STUPID!Dogs eat too much meat and cats eat too much wildlife...lol..yea my cat eats the rats that spreads disease ..RIGHT!
so what are we suppose to do,eat them!?
Sometimes ,no a lot of times lately ,i wonder who these people are that are in charge of all these ''new findings''?what planet did they come from?They come up with this this crap for their own hidden agendas and laugh at us at home on how dumb we are are and how easily we can be led to slaughter!WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!
this IS LIKE THE HEALTH CARE BILL THAT PRESIDENT OBAMA IS PUSHING...they are doing a test on it today and looks like they are going to slam it through for the president tomorrow so he can say it was a success on the state of the union address coming up!Even though the American people are against it,the majority,they are pushing it like we want it and it will be good for us.NO! i DO NOT WANT TO PAY FOR A BABY TO BE SLAUGHTERED IN AN ABORTION..and yes we will when this passes,just wait and see.They are trying to make it look good by giving different states extra money for medicare etc..Who is paying for this people?We are !We will be taxed to death..or starvation one!You better hope you have cattle,pigs,chickens and plenty of ammo to protect your home,family and food very soon!You think i am crazy?Just wait and see.The great America we love is falling fast..Well that's what happens when we move God out,evil prevails!
Have you ever known a time when bills are being passed that the American people are against one behind the other and nothings stopping them?I am afraid nothing short of a rebellion will stop this administration now.And not too mention he is pushing the NEW WORLD ORDER!Don't think so,just google that and you will be floored!
I know all of this has to happen to fulfill the bible,but i also know prayer can hold things off when the time is not right.
This is a scary time for a lot of people and a lot of people are going to be fearful when they find out all of this and more is happening right behind their back...Time is running out to prevent the worse thing this country has ever saw,,,Well maybe not.The native Americans were done this way and America allowed it to happen...I guess we will see it come around on the people again....

dON'T YA LOVE SAYING THAT? i DO...
Something about this time of year that should just lighten your heart and spirits.Maybe because it is the time of year we remember the birth of our savior Jesus.He gave the ultimate gift.Yes i know this did not begin as that,so what!Now that is what it is and i see nothing wrong with taking holidays and turning them into a time to celebrate Jesus....;) after all the devil tries to take all the good things God did and making them bad...RIGHT!
A fellow blogger came by and ask what was red velvet cake,so i am posting a wonderful recipe on this post for it.My blogger friend is Lee the Hot Flash Queen ,take a moment and go by!
The red velvet cake is yummy and this is the closest online recipe i could find..It is VERY close.If you have not tried this heirloom recipe ,this christmas would be a great time to share with your family.Let me know how you like it.My mom always makes this cake for us and we love it!enjoy...

Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients:
the cake:
2 1/2 c. cake flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 TBSP cocoa powder
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 c. buttermilk
2 TBSP (1 oz.) red food coloring
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. white distilled vinegar

FROSTING
12 oz. cream cheese, softened
12 oz. butter, softened
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 c. confectioners' sugar
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans (optional)

Directions:
1. For the cake: Preheat oven to 350°.
2. Sift together flour, sugar, baking soda, cocoa, and salt into a medium bowl.

3. Beat eggs, oil, buttermilk, food coloring, vanilla, and vinegar in a large bowl with an electric mixer until well combined. Add dry ingredients and beat until smooth, about 2 minutes.

4. Divide batter evenly between 3 greased and floured 8" round cake pans. (I only made a two layer cake, so some of my batter went unused.)

5. Bake cakes, rotating halfway through, until a toothpick inserted in the center of each cake comes out clean, 25–30 minutes. Let cakes cool 5 minutes, then invert each onto a plate, then invert again onto a cooling rack. Let cakes cool completely.

6. For the frosting: Beat cream cheese, butter, and vanilla together in a large bowl with an electric mixer until combined. Add sugar and beat until frosting is light and fluffy, 5–7 minutes.

7. Put 1 cake layer on a cake plate, level off with a serrated knife, and spread one-quarter of the frosting on top. Set another layer on top, level, and repeat frosting. Set remaining layer on top, level, and frost top and sides with the remaining frosting. Press pecans into the sides of the cake, if desired. **Tip: after leveling cake, turn it upside down to reduce numbers of crumbs. I also did a crumb coat on the outside, let it set for ten minutes, then finished with remaining frosting.
~~~Chill for 2 hours to set frosting.~~~

Good morning friends!
Yep up bright and early at 5 this morning getting the fire going and brought the heater from the kitchen to the front room till it warms up.I have 3 of the grands in their pallet in the floor,i guess i have ruined them with pallets..They don't ever want to sleep in beds.lol.i was the same way when i was small though.I so enjoyed laying in front of the fireplace,go to sleep watching the shadows from the fire dancing around the room.The grands are getting so big.Billy is 7,Kolby age 4,and the girls Summer and Charlie Mae will be 2 in spring.My only great nephew will be 2 in may as well.All 3 of them are less than a month in age apart!How is your Christmas shopping and planning?Most of mine is finished,also thanks to several great giveaways that i won that helped me this year!I also have a small church play that we are working on with the kids.I am looking forward to it.HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!

good evening friends!
did you get rain?We got over 6 inches of rain this morning in less than 8 hours!Rivers ,creeks,fields,roads,they are full and overflowing!Mom says they are watching her pond very closely today,the pond below her ruptured and was shooting out of a 2 foot hole when i went by this morning.May not be a pond there now i am afraid.I had a cardiologist app. this morning in Enterprise AL,40 miles away,at 8 am .So we left in pouring rain,25 mph winds and was storming.I get there right on time,took twice as long to get there due to weather and rain on roadway just to find out the Dr. had called and told his receptionist to reschedule everyone due to weather!!!!HELLO!!!!!WEATHER???dare they mean what i had just drove 40 miles in to get there????OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO i was so aggravated and disappointed.I am having some problems and really needed to see him..But now it will be the 8Th before i can....
Kolby,age 4 in preschool,his play at school was also rescheduled..I was disappointed in that.He is so excited!When they do it i will post pics.Tomorrow night is Christmas parade in town,we will go meet up with the kids and attend.I enjoy the parade every year with them....

First off thank you faith imagined to take time to comment to billy,he just went over to say thank you himself,he enjoyed reading your note to him and your prayers..He is out and thank God much better.He had viral phnumonia and stayed a day and night in hospital now home with his meds and here with me and kolby in the living room.We had a wonderful thanksgiving but we did miss Julie and Charlie mae whom is till in Arizona visiting with family there and my great nephew RJ whom was with his mom at their house this year.
Everyone else got to spend some good time together and a feast at dinner.It was a blessing to us all.Robert took the kids out to the pond and played a bit then mom went out there and they fished a bit.The wind and cool air held off until after 3~yes!!!!It was nice and warm with the sun shining brightly.I will share a few pics and thanks for stoppin in..Have a safe and blesses christmas season ahead.May you all find a place in your heart and life for our savior Jesus..our friend Jesus..May God bless us all...

just a quick post i am off to stay with 2 of my grandkids while their mom rita is with my 7 year old grandson Billy.He has been running low grade fever several days now and just diagnosed with pnumonia bad in his right lung.Billy is a little praying warrior for other people now i am asking all of you to please pray for little billy....If you would please leave a comment for him and let him know u are thinking and praying for him, i will let him know,,,,,please do this for my little man....

Water is back....giveaways to check out!

good morning friends!
I am so happy to say that hubby finished my water lines last night and i now have how water back in the kitchen!We re ran all lines from hot water tank on..so....... the only incomplete part is to the sink in the bathroom.He has to work 12 hrs. a day through thanksgiving so that means the water will be in there come Friday.I want to put new faucets in the kitchen ,mine are sooooooooo old,but we will see.With the lines running the floor corners AND our floor being cement...well lets just say it was a slow go.We will pour new cement back next weekend.I still have a mess but at least the water to the bathtub and kitchen have returned,and oh yes..the toilet!
But we have done it all ourselves so all it cost was the pipe and pieces we needed and time.So DIY people!lol
Are you getting ready to cook for thanksgiving or do you eat out?I know a lot of people are doing that now.We will all be cooking and meeting up at mom's good lord Will's as my grandma use to say.I am looking forward to that.I do hate that Jeff has to work that day but thank God he has a job.Stacey and Darrell are still job hunting .I pray they find one soon.

My oldest son came by and spent the evening with me.He is heading to ais playing in crestview Florida.They play there often and have a good time.The locals love to go there as well as some of their followers. show where they are performing tonight in one of his bands.Tonight 50 miles north
They have a show next Saturday in Birmingham Alabama,straight jacket 4 Nixon will be playing that show.Darrell my son is the singer as well as guitarist,and my hubby Jeff is lead guitarist,and adopted son Jason is the drummer and john a friend is the guitarist.They are an awesome band.If you have a moment go by and check em out.Let me know what you think.Some of the music is very heavy while they also have ballad like music,which i love!;) If any one would like a CD let me know..I'll get you one out!

Good morning friends!For the first time in a long time i am not waking up on a saturday with one or more of the grandkids!I am lost people do you hear me....
Strange indeed.Billy has a meeting planned with a pastor in town for a talk.He has an upcoming paper for school(only in 2nd grade!) and he must write it on what he wants to be when he grows up and bilyy wants to be a preacher for God!
Jumping!yea!glory to god!!! I have known as well as others Billy is a blessed little boy of God's and prays for people ,animals ,just whatever!He loves Jesus and after being around him and talking just a few minutes you'd see what i mean.He is a gentle heart with a thought pattern WAY beyong his 7 years!
Anyway he has that meeting coming up with the family friend pastor and will be be visiting another church this sunday and i think Kolby wants to go too.Summer is with the other grandma and my little Miss Charlize Mae is still with momJulie in Arizona visiting with their family there,they will return early December..I miss you girls!!!!I miss them but the times they have there are so very special for them as well as here.I am so glad they are able to have this time together and we all get to mshare in their lives.Darrell is still out of work ,besides his musical jobs parttime.Stacey,daughters fiancee ,has as well been laid off from shut down job.Getting tough but here in the south we are kinda accustomed to things not being simple but a way out always comes if we continue to pray.

So on a saturday morning all along what am i doing?You see it..lol...watching Fox news ,blogging,twittering,and doing some giveaways! ;)

I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all the veterans ,active now and not,as well as the one's who, have gone on and to the one's whom never made it home.We in a huge part can thank you for our freedom's that we have enjoyed as well as our kids and grands.
My great grandfather and grandfather fought in WWI1,my uncle in ww2,2 uncles and cousins in the Korean and Vietnam war.I have a nephew in Iran now as well as several of my son's friends and a couple from my church family.
On this day we remember what freedom really means and who helps us to accomplish that.The men and women out there on the front lines,as well as the one's in the background....

we live in a rural area and i enjoy going out into the woods and just relaxing ,pray,a little of all..so peaceful expecially when there is a light breeze blowing thru the leaves with the birds singing

I would say that would be my friend and neighbor Lisa...At 44,single mom to a 4 year old,nurse and diagnosed with cancer,she is a rock!Loves god,humble sweet..all the above....

pray and go for a walk!

Do you have a strategy, a routine, religious faith, a mantra......to calm yourself down?
have to be prayer...

not a food...COFFEE!

I believe it would be my dadday playing with me in the kitchen of our old house!

i don't think i did...

Edward harrell,he taught me how guys were suppose to treat their girls!I should have always remembered those lessons!

I really didn't have a child hood injury.It was during the birth of my son,i didn't use painkillers of any kind and pulled both my shoulders of of joint pulling against the bed rails during labor(he came out breach)

6. How much money did you get from the Tooth Fairy per tooth?

7. Did you ever "force" a tooth out just to get the money? How did you do it?
no but my dad would help it by putting a string on it and jerking it out.

Ida sets off the coast and giveaways!

Good morning friends and God bless ..
Here in the south it is the norm in the summer fall months for hurricanes coming in ,but novenber!I can see the beginning of the cloud lines already.They look like the have been tore up,so easy to spot in the sky.There is a light breeze blowing around but they will soon pick up to i think they are saying like 25-35 mile and hour winds here.I love it like that!!!When the storms are not damaging i love it.You can watch the clouds go counter clock wise ,the rain sheets, and the wind blowing through the pines.I love that sound.Or let's say i love the sound in 50 mph winds and less...when they get up higher it begins to sound like monsters growling VERY LOUDLY!The night Ivan came through a few years ago,that was the most horrifying sound i had ever heard.Between growling monsters,trains and semi trucks, i prayed all night.These things i love can be bad sometimes..lol..But if you have never experianced a hurricane in the rural wooded areas..Lets just say..The sound is so loud you'll be up for the duration.My brother lives in town and said that night he stood out on the porch when he could and just listened to it,was not bad at all!I said come here next time if you want sounds...lol..My mom says wind through the pines is the most lonesome sound she has ever heard,makes her want to cry.Strange how one sound can be different to the hearer.There will be some flooding in some areas i know,so be careful all!Pasagoula miss. to indian pass florida has hurricane warnings up..so that puts us in the middle with a persistant east wind.It is still 125 miles of coast with 2 inches falling an our..This one is not much worrying anyone ,i am grateful for this.We have been blessed here this year.

What are your holiday plans?We will have thanksgiving i am sure at mom's house.Christmas shopping has begun and some of us frugal folk i see are done with shopping!You go girls.....I am a little behind this year.I have some of the things for the kids but not through.I am going to do a shout out post next week and spotlight the bloggers i have blessed to win extra holiday gifts from this year!!!!They have been a blessing to me and i want to make sure i acknowledge them all!!So look for that...
have you been entering giveaways?If not you should!And for those of us who do you should think about a shout out post for the blogs as well..Spread the word about them.

hi readers and thank you for prayers on the kids!Kolby is better this morning but still fevered and summer is not feeling well.please continue to think of them in prayers.
Church was very good this morning ,class was small because of illness's ,maybe all will be back next week.I was watching fox this morning.I get so tired of hearing our president talk about world unity!We are not suppose to all unite and be one.Please...God destroyed the tower of babylon and made all people look different and speak different languages.What are we hoping for ,to get destroyed again!And me myself do not want a world order police deal.I want to be able to raise my kids,worship,etc, the way i want too.Not where a group of people tell me what i have to do.We are not all criminals,what or who of us want;s to be treated that way?????I pray a lot of people stand up and stand firm against this crap!If they want to be like other nations,LET THEM MOVE THERE!!!!!!!This is the united states of america!!!!I am proud of that and i hope you are too.....

problems,moon shots n blogger giveaways

Evening all!Hope your week is going well.No mishaps today that i know of so that in its self is a blessing! lol.Well one i guess.My sister is having a problem with her son and x daughter in law..Well they were not married but that's what she calls her.They have a 16 month old baby boy.The other day when J went to pick him up(daddy) he smelled weed...When ask about it ,Shelby acknowledged and said her brother had smoked a joint in the edge of woods behind house!Yep...you read right.She was honest anyway i guess.Any how,my sister called me asking how she should go about getting temp. custody on the baby till they could both straighten up and prioritize their lives.I told her what she would need to do and what it would cost.She called back a little while ago and said Shelby might just let her keep him as long as she could see him when she wanted...soooooooooooooo AS THE WORLD TURNS.... I don't know how that will work out but i am sure they will do the best for the baby.This is my sister's only grandchild from her only son.He is only 18 now and Shelly is also.
Anyway.........There is so much of this going on now where grandparents are having to be the parents,I had to do this for 3 years but thank God ,my daughter has put her kids first and been clean now 2 years..THANK GOD!Sometimes when you loose everything you do come around and fix it.It becomes first.I pray this works out the same....

Evening all,
have not posted in a few days,sorry,but it has been a crazy weekend and beginning of week.I went to Rita's last Thursday to help with her yard sale ,so Thursday we got ready for it and then out of the blue,it pours!!!! everything had to be wrapped up over and over again...on and off rain.Now remember this also is trick or treat nights ...sooooooooooooo... yeah..i was glad when over although i really enjoyed it.The grands had a blast!Billy was Optimise prime ,thanks anytime costumes!,Kolby was red ninja,and summer was a sugarplum fairy!Charlize Mae is in Arizona with her mom visiting Julies family and she was snow white!They were just all so cute....
Anyway on to yesterday..The commode messed up.had to pull it up and put down a new thingy under it,now we have decided we may have to break the flask out of our cement floor and redo that!yea i know..
The tank on our well lost it's prime,and while re priming hubby leaned against the pipes and broke that,water is shooting everywhere... ;0
so what did Betty do?????
All i could do...Went Squirrel hunting...lol..Took my 4-10 and hit the woods with my 7 shells,yep all i had.Anyway.at this moment my 3 squirrel are frying with biscuits in the oven and gravy is in the making.That's what I'm talking about.Yes i am a country girl and proud of it and yes i only kill what i eat.Unless i see a poison snake or spider.Then it's all for their self!I will so be enjoying my feast soon.First one of the season,Jeff is at band practise so..I can enjoy me meal quietly and then get on to some giveaways!Are they not fun and when you win..woopee!I pray over my entries..God is soooooooo good ..Yes he is!I do not know what i would do without him.He is my rock...I MEAN THAT! Welcome friend!Thanks for stopping by.I thought i would get some washing done but with the skies a dreary grey and blue i better wait!I like to hang out my clothes so rain and damp weather say no.Funny i have a dryer and it is not even hooked up.I may one day but not just yet.
Just me here today and i have been going through the stuff that is stacked in Darrell's old room.Their stuff and mine just setting in there not being used.I have went through most and have theirs boxed up in a corner and have went thru mine taking out most for our yard sale.I will not be bringing the stuff left at sale home ,we will donate it to the christian center for redistributing to someone that can use it.Tired of things i never use being here.Now that Zack has left and went to his moms,age 17,i would like to be able to use one or the other room for sewing,computer and arts and crafts room!So that is my intention.

Happy Lord's day everyone!
Had a great worship service today and also a great sunday school class!Had 4 in my class today.Got to remember we are a small rural church so that is good,praise God!We will have pastor appreciation dinner next week with our kid's fall festival following!We are all excited about that.Will be a lot of fun.
What are yyour plans for Halloween?Do you go trick or treating,church activites,hells gate houses,judgement homes,,or nothing at all?People are in dissagreement about things do you and why you should not do some of them.As for me..I know how Halloween started,and yes it is a far cry from things that reflect worship to God(Jehovah),Jesus and Holy Spirit.But i don't think it is wrong to visit houses with kids and let them dress up.I am not worshipping Satan doing thaT.It is just another family activity.No different than letting the kids hunt eggs ,just my opinion.
Will be a long week and tiring this upcoming one!Me and rita are having a yard sale thursday and friday(means working mon.tues,wed to prepare for it,judgement house mid week,fall festival at school,trick or treating and then the activities at church this sunday!WOW....

Sad we have to stand up so feircely for our rights,Expecially from our president(that we as a people vote in) and the white house administration.Never let your guard down with this administration.We will get blind sided if we do not.

Thursday Thursday! Help with the holidays

the wind is blowing tonight wonderfully tonight in front of the storms that will arrive in a few hours.I love the sound of the wind blowing through the pines.My mom says that is the most lonesome sound she has ever heard,she hates it.But then she lived here while we were small being a single parent all the way through.So i guess it would be different to her,but i so enjoy it.
Just got in from cemetery meeting up at the church.The meetings are usually an hour long,this one ran a little over.But usually very smooth and the company is good.We discuss the plots and cleaning and who is where...We try to keep our cemetery taken good care of in respect to everyone and their families that are gone on.
I am watching Amber's Frey's story on tv now.Very interesting to hear her story.There are so many sad things going on in our world.People killing people all over the place for no real reason..Just because...............sad..Glad i have hope in another eternity..one where all this mess will not exist.Only good and pure things..Be nice not to even worry about locking a door..

Setting here at the computer tonight i have my little heater cooking my toes! lol..Still a bit nippy,suppose to be warmer tonight and tomorrow.So i have big plans,Good lord will..
I want to take down the rest of our winter clothes out of the attic storage ,sort and re wash,then hang up.I also want to go ahead and get my Christmas decorations down to go through them and clean some out.I do not want the same thing to happen like last year.No rush of Christmas decorating.If i have everything sorted and ready,,easy breezy!While at the same time i can donate the stuff i really never use.I went through some of our clothes last week and have a big donate pile in my old office room,i am now seated in the living room!I can do that now that the boys are with their mom during the week going to school.Zack ,teenage stepson,age 17,moved in with his mother in July,Darrell and Julie are in town now,and Rita has the boys.Seems strange here now.I do enjoy the time i have free but i still have not got used to it!This is the first time My home has ever been empty of kids and grands.I just have to get it like i want it now.I have Kolby's pup here at my feet and Darrell's Schnauzer is on the top of couch.Yea they leave and the animals remain! lol..That's ok..they are company especially when Jeff work's night's.My family worries about me sometimes because i lve way back in the wood's and times i am alone.I say don't worry,i know how to shoot my shotgun and pistol!I pray i never have too ,but would in a heartbeat.....
I have a mockingbird that sits here in the little tree outside the window .He returns every year and has for 5 years now.I know when he arrives,he starts talking!Yes it is true,they will mimic other things.Cat squeal,dog bark,whistles,other birds..It is amusing to hear and watch him.i walked out under it the other night and he happened to be roosting where i walked right under him and he went insane..lol..
It is strange these things we become attached too.I have always been an animal person,guess i always will be.

Husband sick and whining,what's new??

Morning!
It is cold in south Alabama people!How was your weekend?Great i hope.I had a good weekend with Kolby.Summer and Billy came on Sunday for a few hours.Rita went to Dr.yesterday and was put on lexapro and robaxim.Maybe they will make her feel better.Her nerves at times are shot.Darrell and Jeff are busy with the band this week,they have several big shows coming up next week!They are looking forward to that for the Halloween weekend.Last year they had hundreds for it.If we lived somewhere else i am sure they would already be a signed band.
But for the moment he has went and dragged home some kind of virus with him!And what do men do when they are sick???AHHHHHH OOOOOOOOHHHHHHH,baabbbbyyyy im sick!!!!
This started last night so guess who is next ;( OH NO!!! if the kids are not bringing home aches and whines he is!And of course all men i know are just big babies!SO..i am praying,praying...me no sick..nope not come near me!(Thank you God)

We are still waiting for billy's costume from anytime costumes(2 weeks now!) but they have assured me it will be here sometime this week...I have had to re mail a giveaway that was won here ..any one else having mailing problems????And it is not even in the holidays yet ;(

Suppose to be 43 next week!Ok now i Love fall but i dread WINTER THIS YEAR! I know we need the change in seasons for all things alive but with age comes winter dread.lol.It means wrapping pipes,plastic on windows,sealing any holes up,moth balls out so no snakes come in side the attic(yep you heard right!),cutting wood(daily),and much more.Am i prepared NO! This is in thanks to my procrastinating husband once more.so that means rush,rush ,rush..all the while partly keeping my grand babies.This is the same man a few years ago that wanted me to move back to Michigan with him!I THINK NOT....If you can not prepare right in Alabama..not no BUT H--- NO!i AM NOT QUITE THAT CRAZY. Ever had those day's where seemed like if you laid down you could sleep for days?That was me today.I so hope i am not coming down with something.I have had some problems with my breathing since Last November with my voice become hoarser over the past 10 months.My dr. says he can find nothing to show for these problems.So now i have a raw throat half the time and just feel crappy.I want to think this is a sinus problem or at least i hope!My hubby tries to drive me nuts half the time.I feel like i am still married to a 25 year old!Some people just do not know how to grow up and of course me and my luck with men have got one.
If i was not the type of person i am he would be soooooooooooo gone.Feels like at times i am raising another child.I have enough grand babies already!He needs to raise himself...

I was very happy to hear from Julie and Charlie Mae in Arizona!They are having a good time and charlie is going to be snow white this year!Julie is going to send me pics!They will be back in December.I do miss them but i am thrilled for her that she gets to spend a few months with her family....Love you girls!!!!!

Ghost hunters is on tv,i do like watching them even though i have my own view on that.But it is very interesting.No bad comments now...I have had some weird experiences,seen things and heard things..voices,heard 2 ''ghost'' in a conversation.(yes i truly have right before i rebuked them!).But i have my own view on it through the Bible...

Winter is Coming, Christmas help!

Me and Kolby went and picked up a few pecans after Billy and Jeff left this evening.We rode ver n the golfcart.On the way home Kolby reminded me that winter is just around the corner by reciting those words i really do dread.."it's cold nanna''!
NOOOOOOOOO Hard to believe summer has come and gone and here in south alabama we don't really have an enjoyable fall..It last a few weeks and the just yuk cold!So many things i need done before frost and i just dread it this year.We have a fireplace for heat and not even any wood gathered yet.Which i must say is not my fault,I have nagged all summer about wood when i see it to go ahead and get some and as usual..My husband procrastinates everything.From wood to wrapping pipes.....Was not so bad when younger but the older i get the more it is leaving a bad taste in my mouth!It will happen,as usual,rushed in a week when it HAS to be done!
OK,.,,,,,,,enough babbling!Although the venting is good. ;)

I look in front of me and i see my 2 grandsons,billy age 7,and kolby age 4,sleeping peacefully on their pallet in the floor.This is their favorite spot to sleep.Little puppy is laying next to billy.I have a good preacher talking encouragement on tv while i sit here blog hoping!Life can be good and it can be hard,A lot of times it depends on how we ourselves approach each day.

At times it is hard to see good.Several members of my family have lost loved ones this week.My sister's father in law died night before last as well as my son's 1st cousin lost his granddaughter,only 20 years old.Her father in law was sick and they knew he was getting bad,had time to talk and sit and talk.Jimmy's granddaughter died quickly.Her and her boyfriend was just going to take the 4 wheeler around the block.They never made it back.A van hit them head on,killing instantly i do believe.Good thing is she was a Jesus loving young lady and i am sure with Jesus right now and maybe her and her boyfriend walked into heavens gate hand in hand.I am not sure about her father in law,but i do know ..her husband wants to start going to church.Is death easy?By all means no!Does it help when we know where they shall spend eternity ,,YES!

I have talked a few times about death to my kids and grand kids,just to let them know if something happens to me that i will see them again one day in Heaven!I then remind them how to make sure they go to Heaven one day.None of us have tomorrow promised.The older i get the more that is a reality.Yes it happens that way.Too bad it doesn't when we are all younger.We would live our lives better i am assured!I know i would.Where did this come from?Not sure but you just got inside my thoughts! ;)

Times can be hard and it is good that we have friend and family to stand with.I as well am glad for my online friends..Thanks for spending a few minutes of your life with me and please,stop in again...May God grant you the peace and rest that only he can do.

Morning all!
What a weekend!I had the boys and Little Summer.So add to that i feel like crap since last Thursday...mmmm...Summer got so irrate at church that i just walked outside with her the last 10 minutes of service! ;0 Oh well..This all too soon shall pass and they are all grown up.But they can be a handful.Little adam came back with us for a few hours after church until his granddad came and got him.

The rain eludes me

Was hoping for a rain last night,but they seem to be passing by us.Showers all around,close enough to hear the thunder and rush of ushering winds through the pines..but still no rain.
Not like we really need it,i just love the rain on the roof and the smell of fresh watered dirt.I am uploading a few more pics to facebook on my family album.One of those things i have been meaning to do and not yet finished.I seem to be there a lot lately,getting behind.lol.I went up to town and got groceries this evening,ran by rita's to see the boys and summer a few minutes.Kolby has dad day at pre school tomorrow.Kolby's dad is to sorry to be around so rita's boyfriend Stacey is going with him and he is excited about it and looking forward to it,they both are.Kolby is getting better adjusted to his med's,helps keep him calmer.Actually he just acts like a normal 4 year old now and has learned to write his name!! Woo Hoo...My little man is getting big.He took his first ever school pics today as well...
Next Friday we will have his fall festival at pre school,i said i would help as well,i know it will be fun!
Billy is getting ready for halloween,he is real excited about it.He loves dressing up.He is going to be the headless horseman! Summer is a sugar plum fairy and Kolby will be a ninja.I am not sure what Charlie Mae will be yet.Her and her mom Julie are still in Arizona,they will return home in December.I miss them so much but i knw julie's family are enjoying having them so that makes it a lot easier.I can just imaging being n their place...I would soooooo miss them.I hope they all have a wonderful time .They went up to a place called big lake this past week,she sent me a pic of Charlie at the lake.It was so pretty!

Fall is here!

Hello everyone!
Are you looking forward to the cold sprays of rain in winter?Snowflakes in the sky(not so many for us here in alabama),frozen ponds and skates?Busted water pipes and high heating bills?
I can feel fall in the air!The cool breeze gently blowing through the pines and the call of the coyotes at night while the moon shines down.There is a part of me that loves this time of year.I walk out and see the oranges,purples and yellows of fall's flowers that dazzle the eyes.Yes FALL IS beautiful.The leaves of the poplar,sycamore,popcorn tree and mulberry tree are beginning to fall.Soon the lifeless trees will adorn the view outside.Only my cedars and oaks are evergreen.The hummingbirds are beginning to travel on alongside the mockingbirds,bluebirds and other companions of the air.While the robin's,blackbirds,blue jays and more begin to filter in for their winter retreat here.The garden is dwindling and the color of the sage is a brilliant red now.Time to trim the flowering shrubs and I'll soon cut back the roses.I have a few bushes and little tree's i have marked that soon i shall go and get to replant here.These will supply fruits and berries to the grand kids and wildlife for years to come.Even the clouds have started looking fallish!But there hangs that almost sense of dread of a long cold winter ahead.No i am not a winter person i am afraid.I shall spend it looking forward to the shifting of the skies and the return of the jasmine and jonquils in march!Yes yes...With the exceptions of the holidays ,i shall dream of spring!

Out of the Mouths Of Babes..IS THAT GOD?

Happy Sunday Friends!
I hope your day and weekend went well.Kolby stayed this weekend with us,well he always does,lol,,If he is out of school.little man is here.He arrived with a little extra Friday...A 2 month old poodle. :0
He says'' NannaBee,i can't have this at mommies but i can have him and he stay here while i am at school and i come back and he is here,,Make sense??????? ;0
Remember he is only 4!Needless to say there is a ,maybe a pound,puppy laying on Kolbys sleepwear in the floor beside me.Yep he is missing his master and he sleeps where he smells him.I am afraid he is going to be whining tonight!
GOT TO TELL YOU A STORY!
oK...We are setting in church and Kolby has his money to give to God in church.One of the deacon's was passing the bowl taking up our tithe's.He comes to Kolby and he carefully places his money,counting it out,into the bowl.Lane passes on and Kolby says''where is he taking the money'',I said it does not matter baby,it is God's money now and it is used for him....All at once,Kolby looked straight at me and said Nanna. THAT'S GOD?????????? referring to the deacon taking our tithes...I almost busted up laughing right there.I said no no Kolby...That is not God.Yes he spoke it loudly too.Several got a good tickle out of him!!!!!RIGHT OUT OF THE MOUTH'S OF CHILDREN.I have decided i need to talk a little more about who God is in Sunday school...lol....

My 4 year old little man is always a picking up some kind of animal..As you know we live in the country and this little fella is all country boy!Here he is with ''turtie'' just before we realeased him back to nature,,These animals are still on the endangered list so t is refreshing to see the baby ones!This is a gopher tortoise.They do not bite as the turtles do.But if you find one,just enjoy him a few minutes and release! The sun is breaking and my mocking bird in the front yard beckons me...have a great day and remember to thank God for another day!!!!

Wolf Rats,Snakes ,Puppies and Sleep Aids!

Good morning all and a blessed day to you!!!
Well at 4:00 this morning,est,i awoke and no luck at getting back to sleep so..,here i am!Seems the older i get the worse the sleep pattern gets.If i can get to sleep,i am up early.If i have to take a sleep aid to get rest,i sleep late..I am so messed up.I wish they made a good sleep aid that worked well,without the drowsiness in the morning,THAT DOES NOT COST 100.99 A MONTH TO GET!!!! that is just crazy,we live in such a greedy nation!A few years ago i tried a product,non prescription,worked super!a FEW MONTHS LATER IT WENT TO PRESCRIPTION,AND NOW COST 120.0o month! i just don't think so.They quickly lost my business .They don't mind though,they made it up quickly!100 fold!!!The Dr. gave me some Ambien CR to try,samples for a few weeks.I loved it.Then i went to fill the prescript,at a low 135.00 !!!! NOPE!!!it is still there..CRAZY......I just simply will not pay that amount for a sleep aid..Heck that could go on my light bill,phone bill,Internet,groceries..Not too mention that will buy clothes or meds for my grand kids..Just refuse to waste money like that.Anyone has any idea on something that will help,i am all ears.But please let it be something you have really tried and know it works..ok,,,
I spent the last 2 days cleaning yards and cleaning out the barn..While doing that i found a nest of sticks..YES..STICKS.Not little ones,nice size ones,Well..in a few minutes i found the owner..Or he found me...This looks like a little rat,but he was bigger than a squirrel!You survivalist out there,he could be dinner!lol...So..If it gets bad..Rat on the fire,,lol,,Wanna see him???

We live way back in the woods so this really is no surprise.I think we have one of these bad boys in the roof as well.Maybe 2.Hubby went out yesterday to get a piece of tin and it had 2 black snakes under it.Needless to say he took off running.Yea..there is still a little city boy in him.lol..
Kolby came in yesterday with a new pet..Yep yet another one,
This time a little puppy.Half poodle and something.Looks like a miniature copy of the dog on the never ending story...So he lies here in front of me on his ''pallet'',with puppy right beside him!

Blessed morning everyone!
Are you like me and seems like more and more you get behind?I think it comes with age,i really do.Stress and health plays a large part too i know.The reason i decided to name this blog starting again is because over the past 10 years i feel i have started agin.I could make a book here,but no worries,i will not.
I have a 29 year old son,who is a certified termite exterminator as well as a computer whiz,and lead singer in a band and a bass player in another,He has went on tour with the bands around the usa several times and can play dang near anything he wants too.Loves the hippie look but at the same time,one of the sweetest guys you could meet(most times.lol)He is now the father of one of my granddaughters 16 months old,and with my precious daughter in law Julie!She is such a blessing to our family.I do love Julie!She is a wonderful partner for my son and the best mom i could ever have for Charlize mae.She is visiting her family in Arizona now with little princess and we do miss them.
I have a 27 year old daughter that could be a model if she had so inclined.She is very good at decoarating and arrangine things together,something i wish i had more of.She made some very bad decisions at one time in her life with meth,that almost cost her her kids.Through a hige struggle,determination ,God and family ,she has been clean now 24 months!Thank God.Her story is looking better every day.She is now very involved with her kids and school activities ,as well as the mother of 3 of my grandkids.Age 7,4,and 15 months.She has her hands full,yes....
When they were teens i met ,now hubby Jeff,along with his 4 year old that his mom dropped off at my house just a few short weeks after me and Jeff were dating.One of the reasons we went ahead and married were because of this.I believe a child needs the care of a mother or mother figure.Through these last 13 years Zacks mom would come in and out of the picture and his grandma just enough to make this little boys life a mess,full of lies and deceit.Even to the point of telling him we kidnapped him,etc,because she chose not too have anything to do with him for 2 solid years..no calls,xmas presents nothing,and she lives only 15 miles away!!!!she chose her life,that did not involve raising a child,but would not let him be happy!Now at age 17 he has chosen to be with her and now is in trouble with the law for shooting out windows at her trailer park!!!!They have literally destroyed him and do nt care!I could write a book here on just this BUT,,,,and yes through the years we have tried using police,jail scares,church,juvinile persons and none could help us with him.So now,we have an almost grown son who you can do nothing with but pray!
Back to my grandkids,in 2002 Billy was born.By age 8 months we had him over half the time.Kolby was born in 2005 ,june,when he was 5 months old he was left with me for 5 months,most all time.Drugs had started now.He went back when she got clean at 13 months and then came back at 18 months and billy was 4 .For 15 months i did not hear from my daughter.Did not know if she was dead or alive!I would not wish this on anyone.She came back that october pregnant with my granddaughter ,2 1/2 months along ,and through a tough battle has got her life and kids getting along pretty good.She knows this is something she can never forget ,nor them,but she can keep it from happening again.Talk about stress and learning to depend on GOD! Yes prayer can help and get you through...Now the kids are with Rita and with me on weekends.I miss them while they are gone,but a well needed break when i know they are ok.Grandparents are suppose to be grandparents..not parents.We are missing out on a special role with our kids anymore.But i must say we are making bonds that we would not have any other way.So any of you starting again with grandkids you raise as kids,,I understand!There are so many women now that from just selfish,to drugs,to physical mental problems,don't keep their kids.Bless the little one's in this generation but aWARDS TO YOU ALL THAT DO STEP UP AND TAKE CARE OF THESE PRECIOS LITTLE ONES!!!!!!there are a lot of kids that even grandparents will not take...

So when i am behind,,,IM SORRY...life is the way it is!This is my life.. ;)

Happy Thursday!
Washing clothes,cleaning house and blogging,,lol,, what an assortment of things we do everyday.Yesterday we went down to testify about a murder trial from 8 years ago.We were all down fishing at the gulf in florida and we found a young lady floating in the bay.It was a very bad thing,so sad.It has taken them this long to arrest and have court .But at least now maybe her family can gain closure.maybe a little anyway.I have thought a lot about them through the years.She left a small son behind,anyway it looks like an ex boyfriend may have done it to her.Will keep updated on this.Court is in november .
I will be going to pick up little man tomorrow,keeping him here all the time for several years ,seemd strange when he is gone to school during the week at his moms.But glad they are doing good now.Clean for 22 months for my daughter is..THANK GOD!WELL Back to the washing,have a great day.I will be adding a few giveaways through out the day...
